Iseki or Isuzu ?

Recently purchased Bolens G274. The owner's manual that came with it says it has an Isuzu 3AE1 engine but the only name (on the valve cover) I see on it is Iseki. The loader frame and hoses block my view of where the serial # is supposed to be located. Anybody have any clue as to what I have here ?

That should be an Isuzu engine, made for Iseki. These diesels were (are?) used in other powered mobile equipment like forklifts, and also stationary equipment. They're good motors and parts are available stateside.

Thanks Lars01, - That will help me as I shop for filters, glow plugs, etc. So far it seems to start and run fine but this is my first diesel so I can't tell much from the sound.

I can supply most parts for the G274. There are some obsolete parts.
