is this mahindra a good deal its a 4110 with loader (pics) included.

it has 1600 hours ..Manuel trans.. he wants $8500, it runs and works great he says, just has never seen the inside of a barn.forgot to ask year,they made this model from 2002-2009. no attachments rams just repacked,( it would replace my 1963 ford 4000 loader,its tired of me!)

IMHO it's rough. Paint fade doesn't bother me but the front grill is cracked along with the front headlight. Looks like it's had a hard life. I would be concerned about maintenance on the unit. If that could be verified you still have a geared tractor with a FEL. I would be looking for at least a shuttle shift or hydrostat.

Have you looked at it in person? What the engine warm or cold when you started it? a cold engine is going to show you a lot more issues then one that has bee running. Did you drive it around, lift a load of dirt with the loader and carry it around before dumping it? After driving it, did you check for leaks and inspect all of the hoses and look for a puddle under it while it was running and parked?

If its solid, that's a pretty good price for 41 hp and 4wd

It's a little beat up but as Eddie stated 41 hp for that amount is not bad.

I have an older 485. Great platform. I like the geared trans for the simplicity and ease of maintenance. One disadvantage is only 8 speed and slow shifting when doing loader work

8500 with loader is alright I would think if it is mechanically sound

Needs tires (also note fronts are reversed) plus other things mentioned. Tires and damage may be a bargaining tool if it runs well.

drove the mahindra today, it is hard to get the shuttle shift to get into and stay in gear (will sometimes pop out and grind) and when raiseing the loader, it shudders so bad it it shakes the whole tractor (the salesman said it probably has air in the hydrolics because they just repacked all 4 cylinders,) plus while useing the clutch a screaching noise was coming from somewhere. ,, plus with the seat all the way back the pedals are waaaay to close and cramped. this thing must be for people 5,"6 or shorter, and he wont budge off of $8000, so im going to pass i think,thanks for all the help every

^^^^^ agree . . . and I find that most of the compact tractors out there, if your over 6' I have to do some reconstruction on the seat.
