Not really surprise on the fee, seems lately almost every seller has angle.

My Kubota dealer charges transporting for repair and warranty work, and they are very customer service oriented. They do deliver new purchases, including implements.
I likely wouldn't be too keen on inconsistent policy though.

Is it common practice for a dealer to charge for trucking to deliver a new tractor and pick up the trade in? 6 months ago i traded in my Massey Ferguson 1533 for a new Kioti 4210 se HST. The reason I got it was I was tired of plowing snow with no cab, I’m getting too old for ruffling it in the cold.

A month ago there was a problem with the fuel gage on working. I was told It was under warranty and that there would be no charge to fix it …..but it would cost $200 for trucking. Then I just had a problem with a bad fuel water sensor. Again it was under warranty and it would cost $200 for trucking. I ended up fixing both of these problem myself. The fuel level sensor I didn’t have to pay for but the fuel water sensor I had to pay for with the stipulation that since I would intall it would not be under warranty.

This dealer is really piss’n me off and I wonder what they would do if there was a major problem with the tractor. They are so inconsistent with their cheapness.
How far is the dealer from your location?
My dealer has a $50 fee for local (~50 miles) pickup and delivery. I actually sold my 18 ft trailer because I rarely used it.

Every tractor I've purchased has been delivered, for free. OTOH I'd never assume free transportation back to the dealer for warranty work.

Warranty almost never covers transportation charges for any brand. They do cover it when they have a "safety" type recall.
However, some dealers choose to cover transportation costs for their customers. For example, some may offer free transportation for warranty within the first 50 hours up to a certain distance from their shop, or something like that.

Always better to ask these kinds of questions, before purchasing, up front. And make sure the answers are in writing. Might be a good lesson here for others to learn another lesson.

Most manufacturers do not cover transportation under warranty. With that said, its up the dealer, they should have their own company policy on if and when they cover transportation costs.

I can't imagine assuming that transportation would be provided even for warranty work - unless they drop off a dead tractor. In that case I'd demand it.

Toyota doesn't come pick up our car even for a recall.

Tractors are often found hundreds of miles from the nearest dealer - why would they cover transport?

No coverage for warranty transportation.

Pretty standard in the industry.

How far are you from the dealer. My dealer charged me $75 for pick and drop about 60 mile round trip.
