Is this an Oak tree?

Yes, Live Oak. Don't know which variety. Came with the house.

Oak trees without oak leaves. Haha.

We have deciduous oaks in front. Now I'm curious about which. There are also some mighty ones among my pines. Fairly certain they are all 'white' oaks.

I’m not familiar with all of the oak species in Texas. There are many. And white oak refers to a group of oak species, of which there are many. Northern white oak is required for bourbon barrels.

We have the black, white, and live oak varieties, I still have to use this, the acorn type helps figure it out too

Apparently there are red and white live oaks, too.

I heard they have black oaks in Arkansas.
