Certainly was for me, started out with just the backblade with pretty bad results. It led to pushing with the blade, and the uhmw sheet, waxed. This created a nice neat roll-off. The last part was the learning curve for someone who has only ever cleared snow by hand. I certainly prefer this way :D

Oh, and just a safety check, she only sits on my lap to pose for the camera with the tractor off. The seat tilts, the pto is exposed, the property is hilly, no place for a squirmy toddler.

Its a project for me to stay away from. I have heaters on my truck mirrors that I use as my northern limit indicator. That is, if I ever have to turn them on that means I have wandered too far north and it is time to turn around and come back south. You have fun and no thanks for me.

Yeah, that's a project alright. Nice work though and good use of the rear blade. For some real fun in the deep stuff, try a FEL or blower!

If you used to shovel stuff like that by hand, you're more man than me.

I did, I used to go out in boots, boardshorts, a T and gloves because within 10 minutes I was dripping sweat. Every bad snow dump would have me contemplating the statistics of how many people die from heart attacks every snowstorm

I live in a district called the Highlands, its the highest point on the peninsula of Vancouver Island, so while we seldom drop below 15, we get a lot more snow than most. Currently Victoria has the highest Snow base in the whole of Canada, including the northern territories !!!

The snow packs down pretty hard because it is not that cold, a lot of folks clear it with a FEL around here. My FEL is currently in pieces and UPS dropped a load of seals off last week, just before the snow started.

I can handle the snow and these temperatures, but I have a HUGE respect for those guys that live a rural lifestyle on the prairies, USA or Canada, and even more respect for those that live far north.

Bruce.
