i was on the leading edge of the obesity epidemic. not sure why but i've learned, the why ain't nearly as important as the what.I am at my high school "fighting weight" of 175 Lbs. I like to eat, but eating is secondary. There always seems to be something more important. That and I eat a lot of vegetables and lean meats when I do eat.
i was 5' 9" and 280.......no one believes it now. 5' 9", 165 for last 30-40 years
in the 50s and 60s being obese was not yet in vogue. i was one of 2 or 3 really fat kids and believe me, it was not "ok" to be fat. you were an easy target for everyone. even fat people hate other fat people, or they did in my day.
It taught me the real truth about most people. Friends, frenemies, virtually all adults including teachers, ministers, cops, parents, coaches, neighbors, and siblings, cousins.
Anybody ever look at you with simple and absolute disgust?
It happens.
