Is there a GOOD FIX for Dmax Tranny Cooler Lines

I've driven my Dmax over some to the worst roads in North America and have never even begun to experience the problems that Chris likes to bring to viewers every other week!

I agree. I've had three Duramax's with no problems. Since the Duramax came out in 2001 Ford is on their third diesel engine.... What's that tell you?

The funniest part of Chris story is the with the sixleakers. I've owned both and the dmax and allison is a better unit. And he's the only guy in America that has NO issues with an extremely issue prone engine. I'm not brand loyal I buy what ever is the most reliable. I don't bash the 6.0 even though I had issues. But is seems the same three things topics get repeated over and over. Ford is the best, my uncles Brimar trailer and 20k lb boat I towed with my 1/2 getting 30mpg uphill the whole way. Save it ,we've heard it all!;)

Go down to the GM dealer and you will see Dmax trucks with Cabs off also. I think Dodge is the only one that does not need to come off which gives it and the Cummins the edge.

Chris

Right on.:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

I have a 2008 and my transmission lines leaked, and I lost a center bearing, I took it to the dealer and it was fixed, I got a car to do my shopping in town they did it right away and no problems since then.
I am a mechanic but warranty is free so they can do it.
Let us not have any bad talk about Ford, the new ones 6.7 the fuel filters do not work, and they let water threw, it destroys the pump, injectors, and all the lines, $12,500 and the lowest price I have heard of is $8,500, Ford lets you pay for it. The valves also crack from the outside to the center then the face falls off.
Mechanics of the world love Ford.
I go to the GM dealer all the time and they do a lot of diesels never seen the Cab off, I will have to check on that tomorrow.
The 5.9 Cummins with a P7100 pump was a great engine the 6.7 is not.

I have posted pictures of everything I have done so I dont need to answer to you or anyone on here. I have posted my experiences. This particular truck in question has never had a wrench on the engine but the rest of the truck falls short. You have never seen me badmouth a Dmax engine other then the poorly designed 05 with bad injectors and glow plugs. All the other ones are good. The Allison is also a good piece but the rest of the truck is very questionable at best.

The 6.0L is not the best engine, Cummins 5.9 is hands down. I never said it was. I have said many times on here that APR head studs and a EGR delete and its then very reliable and a sleeper.

Long story short, Ford out sells GM and Dodge combined. There is a reason.

That reason is marketing and aggressive fleet pricing. That's it...
McDonalds sells more burgers than Applebee's, which do you think is better...?

Chris, you have been kind enough to give me advice on the 2 6.0 Ford F250s I bought (an 04 & 06) so I see no reason to verbally attack your input or beliefs. That being said, as a consumer, it is hard for me to trust a manufacturer with a record of catastrophic engine problems, especially diesels. My 6.0s were trouble free, but the longest I kept one was 2 years. I hope Ford has it right this time, especially with the 5.0 and eco boost as they would fit my needs well. As for now, I will keep my Chevy.

Chris, if you'd just stop bashing GM at every oppotunity, we'd stop being prepared for your responses...I don't bash anything....I find it hard to believe that every GM you have ever seen has been garbage...I do see that you're somewhat backing off your DMAX that you have classified as an overall POS....Your are pumping BMW's now...I can tell you that my best friend has a German shop and his saying is.."If you can afford to buy it, you can afford to fix it"...Not point in quantifing the details...You will find out.

Just back off a little bit...Just sayin'.
