Is the Cyber Truck a Flop?

I’ve worked with very good people Union and Non Union.

The folks I know at Tesla Fremont have not supported the union coming in… so far.

Some think the union coming in would doom the plant and production would leave California?

I do believe it’s true that Non Union often benefit when Union wages increase.

We have never had a strike as non union but our sister facility is union and when they strike our nurses eventually benefit.

In my present situation I offered to join the union but that was the last thing corp wanted to hear…

As salaried Director I was exempt for 25 years but when reclassified as Chief Engineer in 2017 it was only a matter of time before the union came knocking so I was again reclassified…

Same. But I've also worked with union people who would be jobless, if they ever tried to survive a week outside the union. They aren't all bad, but they do remove much of the incentive to excel at one's job.

The tool makers were master craftsman… all learned in Germany except for the Swiss and Japanese guys…

But to boil down a century into two or three sentences, American workers had very few legal protections in the early years of the industrial revolution. Mechanization replaced a lot of skilled jobs work with unskilled work, and employers had free reign to treat employees rather badly.
Well, i dont think it was any different in europe. First union was founded in 1866 and around 1900 they became commonplace.

OPCMIA
This labor union represents plasterers and cement masons in North America. It started in 1864 during the American Civil War and is America’s oldest.

Similar to post 232…

Of course there were millions of Pintos and only a few tens of thousands of Tesla trucks so small increase moves the needle more.

I still remember the model S that plunged 250 feet off the cliff traveling Highway 1

Unbelievable how anyone survived.

You're 17 times more likely to die in a fire in a Cybertruck than in a Pinto: It's Official: the Cybertruck is More Explosive than the Ford Pinto - FuelArc News
Interesting to read the anonymous reactions to the publisher. Maybe some readers shouldnt reckon a publishers view is as skewed as their own...

I mean people who would tell lies to defend a product, manufacturer, party or team they identify themself with, automatically assume the other party does the same....

And its widely reported that EVs are more prone to fire
