Good chance that it wouldn't with likely a ruptured diaphragm in that pressure switch,
One good thing about it, is that it is likely a tapered thread so once you get it started it will turn out easily.
Just don't get to carried away tightening the new one. A tiny bit of thread dope only on the threads and just good and snug.

Just wondering if the battery that you replaced was a Walmart battery. Reason i ask is you cannot believe how many walmart batteries i find in the generators i service that failed and are only 2 years old. Im not sure who makes their batteries, but the exide units i install nearly always last at least 5 years. I use only interstate batteries in my tractors p, trailers and dump trailers over the years. All are lasting way past 7 years.
