Is It My Hydraulics?

Hello Everyone - Looking for some help. My tractor will start up just fine and will go forward and backward for a few minutes then just quit. Not the engine but the forward and backward motion. Also, I can turn the tractor off for a few minutes and then start it again and it will run forward and backwards for a few then just quit again. Very frustrated!!!! Any body have any idea what is causing this?

It would help if you stated what model tractor you have.

What model? What transmission? Have you checked the oil levels? When was the last time it had a filter and oil change? Not much to go on here.

Kubota B7100 - believe it is HST - All oil levels fine - Just Changed Oil and Hydraulic Filters and fluids.

Was the suction screen cleaned when the oil and filter were changed? I'm not familiar with that model but would assume there is one. How many hours on the tractor?

Will have to go and check the hours. Have nooooo idea what a suction screen is or where it is.

Check and clean or replace. Item 4 on the PDF from MEssinicks.

It may be behind a large cap on the foot pedal.

A lot of tractors have a suction screen as the first filter.

It has 928.7 hours

You'll need a small magnet that will fit in the opening the strainer screws into. If it's not been cleaned before, be prepared to fish lots of filings out. Be sure you get the threads good and clean before screwing the strainer back in so you don't damage the threads.
