I want ketchup on my hot dog! Chick-fil-a is just warm cardboard here.

Don't try to put ketchup on a hot dog in Chicago. You will start a fight. Local customs are interesting.I haven't eaten at Subway for years and never really had a reason to ask for that condiment when they did. Apparently it's not something they keep on hand though... although I don't think your life should be in danger for simply asking for it.Subway Clerk Threatens to Kill Man Who Wanted Ketchup on His Cheesesteak

Don't have either one around here, but 5 Guys is another chain that's always busy. Best fast food burger I've ever had and decent (albeit kind of greasy) fries, kind of pricey though. But don't try to eat one and drive.Chick Fil A and Cracker Barrel are two that are almost always crowded.
CFA sandwiches are good if you need to get something to eat while driving. They aren’t very messy. Reasonably good food.
Mustard & relish for me. No plans to go to Chicago either.Only ketchup on hot dog for me, don’t care for mustard. But I have no reason to go to Chicago.
I've had it a few times, it was OK but nothing I'd go out of my way for (not that I'd have to given how close to Quebec we are).Poutine must be an acquired taste. I've had it several times, no interest in trying again.
...I don't get the appeal of biscuits & gravy...
Regional favorites are funny, for the life of me I don't get the appeal of biscuits & gravy, but it seems to be big in the south.
That defeats the purpose. I can cook something in less time. What is frustrating though and which I've encountered a few times; working in a strange town not knowing when places close. After working late the only place open is a FF place so you pull up to the drive through window- and they shut the lights out. The last time it happened was at a Subway, 10 minutes before they supposedly closed. They saw me pull into the parking lot and shut everything off.Not one for fast food. There is no way in h#$l I would drive 50 miles for one lol.
My wife is a Yankee... makes the best biscuits and gravy you ever had; and chicken and dumplings.... fahgetaboutit.... hands down the best on the planet.Hey, we don't need that kind of negativity around here!
We like biscuits and gravy in the north too, dangit!
They probably figured no one was coming and had everything cleaned then didn't want to have to clean it again. That defeats the purpose. I can cook something in less time. Tough luck. They advertise "open until 9:00" they shouldn't be closing the doors at 8:48. It's not like I could go home and cook something, that was a 10 hour drive. They probably figured no one was coming and had everything cleaned then didn't want to have to clean it again.
