Is it a Gamble?

My wife and I bought 2.6 acres a few months ago. I bought a nice used Cub Cadet 3240 with a 48" deck and it does a great job. However, I'm thinking of buying a bigger tractor that can handle a brush hog or a finish mower about 72" or so and was looking at used, but I keep coming back to look at the Montana's. Although my purchase wil not be for a few months (still haven't sold our other house) I've been researching as much as I can now.

Is the Monana brand going to be dependable? I'm fairly handy, but I don't want to have to be working on a tractor every other time I need ot use it. Are parts available? Do you see parts available in the future? I've been looking at used Massey's from the late 70's early 80's and some Ford's and Massey's from the 90's, but it seems I can get a nice new tractor in a Montana for a little more.

I have been wondering the same thing. I do a little hobby farming with old Ford tractors (3000, 5000) I need a small tractor that I could hook up implements easier and could pull behind my S10 blazer on a single axle trailer. After looking at the orange ones, and JD I settled on a Montana T2734. I have had it two months now and have put 30 hours on it. I really like this little alot. I manly use it for spraying and moving things around with the FEL, and planting food plots for deer. I plan on getting a 60” rotary mower soon. So far it has giving me no problems at all. I hope that Montana will continue to stay in business, and that parts will always be available just like they are for my old Ford’s. One thing is my tractor is the same as the TYM so I something happens to Montana, I can get parts from TYM.
