Is flail mower for me?

I have an Alamo 6' HD flail - it is a good mower but fuel usage is high even compared to running my brush hog. Does a decent job but not even close to what our Zero turn will do.

To clean up the river debris have you tried a landscape rake to just rake it all up? I bought one from Everything attachments and it is VERY well built!

Picked up a 2 year old Bestco Ditch Flail FH-AGL145 for a couple of hundred bux off CL to play with.
Unit seems solid, but paint really fainted.
Before play time, will need to figure out the hydraulics.
