I guess if were not stomping out fires or feeding trolls, we don't have that much to say about our great tractors!!

Haven't had much time to play on my Ck20. ( OR on the computer.) It is about time to do the 50hr maintenance though. Wouldn't want it to feel neglected. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I do have a project in the works that, if it works, will be the envy of all tractor owners!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We know how you are Drew /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif. So what projects have you got going? I wanna see some pix.
I'm trying to adapt my link arc underhood welder to my 3 point, but I'm moving kinda slow for some reason.

It is a log splitter that fits in the place of the bucket on the 2375 backhoe using the bucket cylinder as the splitting piston. Remove the bucket and insert this piece that I made out of 6" channel and 1/4 " plate steel. It will use the same pins. It only has a 19" throw but will serve my purpose. I'm halfway through it so no pics yet!

Sounds like a plan, can't wait to see the finished product.

It has been quiet, so here are some pictures from this spring. The first is just because I like it. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif The other three are a series I took all on the same day as my son and I were starting to split wood for this winter. It starts out with the tractor then I get a bit off topic. I cut to twenty inches for our main stove, a Jotul Oslo, and use the splitter. On the second floor of our home we have a second stove, Waterford Leprechaun, which we only fire when we have sustained temperatures of near zero degree weather. My son splits all the wood for this stove, typically eight to ten inches long. He uses a SA Wetterling forest axe and has been doing so for a couple of seasons, with more help from dad in the previous seasons and almost none this past. I know many will say that he’s too young and maybe so, nevertheless he has become very skilled and never has so much has scratched himself. We have a ball working together. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I have to tell you, I love those pictures. You gotta love seeing a young person doing some physical work these days. That wood looks similar to what we have here in NE PA. Maple and maybe some cherry in that pile? I use a carryall on my 3PH to move my wood around and haul to my father's place. That thing works great. Also have an old Lickity Splitter to handle the splittin. I'll try and get some pics on here next week since it has been kind of quiet.

I sure won't say he's too young. It's great to see a boy of his age doing some real work, and learning and doing something with his dad. I see a lot of fathers not including their sons and daughters in daily activities, and that can't be good in my opinion.
Keep up the good work.
John

Check out the neighboring oranges.

One has a newly completed 'home-built' cab.
All dressed-up for winter. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I know who will be 'out of the cold' this winter. It won't be me. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Nice to see a kid be able to work like this on a real project. Looks like he does a great job and I'm sure it makes him proud. How about introducing safety glasses and steel toe'd boots while using the axe? Never too early for that type of training experience either.

Left for TN just after Wilma hit. Intermittant power, no internet connection, had already planned the trip so I said heck with it and packed the wife and the pooch and hit the road. Have put the DK45s to work on "The Farm" and will have pictures when I return. Public library up here my only link right now for internet.
