Yes, I am quite sure that you are.

I'll second what Robert said about problems with synchronizing everything. However, if you have good pressure and flow, and don't get carried away with the number of heads you have on each zone, it may handle two zones at once. I like Hunter controllers, too. I have a Pro-C for the front yard and just installed a second one for the backyard and garden. But given that you have the bird in the hand, I would use what you have instead of spending 300-ish for the bird in the bush.

Thanks for your help. I think I'll try what I've got like jeffinsgf says but with both your votes of confidence for the Hunter modular controller I know what I'll get if mine don't work out. 300ish is not out of the question; I didn't want to spend 1200.

I have town water (about 80psi/15gpm) so I can handle an overlap of a couple of stations if I goof up on my programming. These Orbit controllers are very decent in their ease of programming. You set the start time for station 1 and then just the duration for 1 and the rest . 1 goes on at schedule and the others follow sequentially; no possible overlap for those six stations. You can set programs A (specific days) or B (odd/even/or a given number) or both for each station. I think it will be reasonably easy to keep zones segregated with a combination of the A & B programs. Did you notice the remotes? Range isn't that great but it is nice to be able to turn a station on or off from the yard. Great for checking/repairing droppers, adjusting sprinklers, etc.

You've got a good water supply Our well produces fine, just not a big flow. We have to be careful not to over do it.

Remotes are great! Hunter has them too; we have one. Works out great when you are adjusting or debugging systems. Better than yelling across the yard to you helper

That's assuming you have a helper! I love my remote. I put in a system for a buddy. I hooked up his remote plug and took over my remote when we were adjusting his heads. I thought he was gonna cry when I took my remote home.
