I have one that pumps out of the lake to water my yard

2 1/2 line into the pump and 2" line out

if I tap a small valve on the intake side and open it . The line should suck and not blow water right?

I want to do this so I can put out liquid iron or bug poison or whatever on the yard using the sprinkler system and nt have to buy a spray rig for my tractor.

This should work right?

It will draw water from the bucket. That's the way we inject liquid fertilize into drip irrigation.

WARNING!!!! Most pesticides are labled to not use within a certain distance of a pond, lake, stream, well or other water source. Nearly every lablel that I have read advises to not apply a pesticide through an irrigation system.
