Iraqi Tractors

I promised some pictures of Iraqi tractors on one of these Forums before I came over in August. It took me 1 1/2 months to find some tractors.

The guys that were driving me around were from the Army Reserves 172 Field Artillery Unit out of New Hampshire.

Tom the ones in the first picture the red one looks to be a German Duetz and the one in the very back is a Russian Belarus. The wrecked one may be a Belarus or I cant recall the name of the manufacturer from Brazil. I know Brasil used to make a few tractors and one tractor company made copies of Bros rubber tired rollers for Iraq. Thanks for the pictures and Stay safe.

How about that? That's the first Iraqi Fireman I've seen. Looks like he should be directing the hose at the base of the fire coming at his feet and not the top of the tank. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif The tractor still looks in better shape than the ones down here in Umm Qasr.

Are you in-country for military service or as a contractor? Either way, what can we do to help you?

I'm a DoD civilian federal employee overseeing the contractors. I'm working with Iraqi Reconstruction contracts and Operations & Maintenance contractors on the military bases.

I can’t tell you who to vote for, but voting for the Right guy would help. Vote your conscience.
