International 3500

Hi I'm thinking of buying a international backhoe. The guy selling it is known to be reliable. Parts will be 1.5 hours away - but the dealer says getting them will be no problem. Leaks some trans hyraulic fluid but engine is strong, new clutch.

What do you guys think of International?

What year is it??International is one of the most respected names in the AG business. Don't know many big farmers (or small for that matter) that didn't use some IH or Farmall equipment, either tractors, crawlers, combines, or implements. I think the only thing you need to check is the tightness of the steering box. Some of the older IH utility type tractors could have some play in them after 20 or 30 years. Personnally, my 1957 Farmall 230 and my 1953 Super C don't even turn over one complete rev before they are running. Simple, good lasting equipment. BobG in VA

Thanks for the input Bob. The year is in the 70's the guy didn't know for sure. Hours are a mystery as well

Hi I bought the machine, moved it to my lot five hours away. What should I bring up with me when I use it other than Diesel? The fellow I bought it from said she was all ready to work.
