International 244 clutch problem

I have an International 244 and it was working great all winter plowing some snow around and stuff and now as we move into summer for some reason no matter what I do its grinding gears. If I push the clutch in all the way and then try to shift it grinds a bit then gets into gear almost like the clutch isnt engaging all the way or however you want to say that.
usually if Im in gear then clutch in and shift it does do this but if I take it out of gear then let the clutch out (like to get off the tracktor) when I go to put it back in gear even if I hold the clutch in nice and long it will grind when I try to put it in gear.

I hope i described the problem well enough but any advice you guys can give me is better than what I have now.

Sounds like your clutch needs to be adjusted. Not sure about your specific model but that adjustment should be really easy to make. I think the adjustment is made from underneath, just follow the push rod from the clutch pedal shaft forward to the rear of the engine. Do you find that the clutch is fairly light until half way down? It should be firm after depressing maybe a couple of inches.

Case (International) has an excellent web site with part breakdowns for older tractors. The link has been posted here many times, try a search and you should find it. For some reason I don't seem to have it book marked.

I actually kinda figured that today as I went back and forth from my kubota to the international and noticed how the clutch felt so empty on the international...
