3520 CAB
I have a 3520 cab. My wipers are 2 speed with park. When plowing while it was lightly snowing, not having intermittent wipers was getting annoying. I found a tiny $10 board, installed it today and now have intermittent (3-30 sec) wipers. 3520 is almost perfect now.

What I did:

The board is called an MXA041. I'm sure there are others. I got it off of amazon but it takes several weeks since it ships from overseas. I wired it as a Common Negative. If you pull off the connector to the wiper switch you can connect the 12v to the red wire (it is switched power), the NC and COM to the green wire (the one that goes from the connector into the harness, not the one that loops on itself), the ground to two wires bolted together on the brake side of the steering column. I drilled the hole for the control halfway between the wiper control and the horn (if you don't have a horn there will be more room) so that the board can be taped to the wiper connector (after taping the back of the board so that the contacts on the back are insulated). I had to cut one of the stiffeners on the inside of the console plastic to make it fit. I had bought a knob like the wiper control knob but it is really too big and took a lot of work to make it fit the shaft. I have another, smaller, knob ordered from Radio Shack.

It didn't work the way I expected but I like the way it works better. I expected it to make the low speed intermittent but what it actually does is make the off wiper position intermittent (the control board has an off position when all the way counter-clockwise). So what you get is High, Low and when the wiper is "off" the board allows for off and 3-30 sec intermittent.

I think this is only going to work with wipers that have a park function. This isn't hard to install and hopefully it will work reliably over time.

I attempted the wiring as noted on your post and smoked the board. I guess it's back to the electrical drawing board

I'm very sorry about that. I assume that some tractors may be wired differently. Mine are still working perfectly.

My tractor is a year old 3520. It appears I have the same setup based on your wire descriptions. Is the NO terminal board hooked to anything or is it open. The instruction with the board shows that for a common negative hookup that the NO is joined to the 12 positive. A picture or diagram of your exact hookup to the board would be very helpful but I understand if your not excited about reopening your cover and showing your hookup

thanks

I'll see what I can do. It may be a few days. Not much light this time of year by the time I get home.

This is about as good as I can do w/o taking all the tape off. Hopefully this lets you see what contacts on the board I used.IMG_4093.jpgIMG_4094.jpgIMG_4092.jpg

Yes that will help. Hopefully I won't fry my last board. I'll let you know how I make out
