The 425 treadle valve seems to loose position during operation. Depressing the pedal to go forward or reverse, motion is lost.
It can be reset by turning off the engine and then re-starting the engine.
Has anyone had this problem or any suggestions to remedy this problem?

Would air in the lines be possibly causing this?

Is it possible that there is a piece of something that pressure makes block a port but when you turn off the engine, it falls off?

Does it work properly right away or does the oil have to cool down?

Yeah, that's why I'm trying to ask if the treadle is hydraulic or cable. If it's hydraulic, purge the pump and see what happens.

The treadle is hydraulic.
After going through some troubleshooting I called Power-Trac.
I spoke with Terry at Power-Trac and he mentioned it may be a scratch on the variable pump piston.
At this point in time I'll muddle through winter and address the problem if it continues to get worse.
