Int 8420 round bayler problem

I purchased a used 8420 Int round bayler and can't get the hydraulic gate to open. Its not in the locked position (all the way down). The hydraulic on my tractor works other items and gives pressure to the hoses..as I see them flex when trying to open the gate.. Its acts like it is pined or something to not move (mayby for transporting?) Does anyone have any ideas...??

Look at the male tips on the hydraulic hoses. Many of them have pointed tips and they seem to be failing. Change them out to the round tips and your problems should go away.
