What are people doing for insurance? I have had a couple Honda 4 wheelers insured for years with State Farm. I am piling more equipment around here and JD Credit insures the financed ones, but I am concerned about the rest. I am looking for insurance advice.

Thanks,
D.

Check your home owner policy you may have enough to cover your tractor if you don’t plan on using commercially. I was confronted with the same question when financing through JD so I called my insurance company to find out I was cover as long as I intended to use on my own property and didn’t intend to use commercially.

You mention that JD covers if financed through them? I was never offered this information, oh well I’m cover anyway.

I have been an insurance agent with Farm Bureau in NC for 5 years now, the bset thing to do is take out a seperate farm equipment policy. In NC long has it is used on your farm for every hundred dollars of insurance it is only .71 cents per year for a 100$ deductible. this is really reasonable and also gives you some additional coverages that your homeowners cannot.

I have all my insurance with State Farm. Do they offer an AG policy or am I looking at a speciality provider?

Thanks,
D.

MY ATVs are covered by Progressive. When I first signed with them about 2 years ago, they had the best prices by far on ATVs.

I know Farm Bureau offers an AG policy not sure if State Farm does you will need to check with your agent and see.
