We built a 30x40 metal garage for our house, since our house is of all-steel construction to match. It is a red-iron with purlins running horizontally on the open walls. We didn't insulate the walls at the time, but the roof has the bubble wrap/foil backed insulation with vapor barrier.
What would be the best way to insulate now after it's been up for 7 years? We had a cold snap and it was 35 degrees in there and I'd like for it not to be. lol I'd also do this on the overhead doors 9' x 18'.
Could a person somehow glue the blue foam board? Referring to something similar to this: R-Tech at Lowe's: 2" x 8' x 4' Insulated Sheathing
Or should I get some of the same I have on the roof and just start pulling side panels loose and use that?
Any ideas or suggestions? Anyone done this before?
