After my first winter with my JD 4410 I decided to purchase tire chains for the rear tires. I got stuck a couple of times and the tires just spun.

Anyways, the dealer was less than helpful in his explanation as how to install these chains. When I ordered them he said they may be a couple of links to big and I could tie the excess chain off with wire. I also have a backhoe on the tractor, so I was thinking of using the stablizer bars to elevate the rear tires when installing them.

I guess I need advice on how the chains are secured and the best way to mount them.

Thanks

Here is a thread with pictures that shows how to install chains. Click Here.
Using BH stabilizers to raise tires off ground should help.

Mike,

Woop...never mind, I just saw Ron's post. Great thread, pic's, and instructions. Good luck.
