I think you will completely shut the flow off to power steering when using the loader control. Whether you can live with that or not is up to you. As I understand it when using the loader valve the flow goes through and returns through the unpressured tank line therefore cutting off the power beyond. I may be all wet with my thinking but that is how I understand it. Maybe JJ will see the thread and respond. He is a sure nuff guru on hydraulics.

Winston you could be correct on the power beyond hydraulic flow. That is how I initially thought it worked too, and then I second guessed myself and called Koyker to confirm. They told me it wouldn't completely shut off the flow, but they may be blowing smoke at me too. Hopefully JJ or someone else can respond. Is this something you would do Winston? Or leave it the way it is?.. I'm just trying to find a solution for better PS and loader function and there might not be a solution either.

Yes, I think I understand your thinking. I am not sure what I would do. If not a lot of expense I would probably experiment. I do know when I used my loader valve and watched the tank return line dump into the transmission it sure looked like a full flow. My 2002D had a diverter valve before the power steering and original 3 point line (after loader install it went to loader first and then 3 point). My loader was always slower than I liked but very usable.

Ok Winston glad we are on the same page. As for your loader working slow....Not sure why. My loader worked great, it was quick and had the lifting power there, but that was before the PS install. So now its slow but has the lifting power. I need to find the Power Beyond sleeve to experiment. So that is my next step, I wouldn't think that would be more than $5. I am hoping that with just some fittings and under $15 I could experiment and see how it works.

Ok I have some new information...My Koyker 120 loader has a Dinoil joystick valve which also has a power beyond port that is capped off. The FCR 51 flow valve cannot be plugged on the EX port side because there is still flow to that port even if I adjust the flow meter knob. My plan is to plumb the loader as it was before, the power beyond will supply the FCR 51 and the FCR 51 will power the PS. The EX port will dump back into my tank. The loader will have full power back and the PS should have full power too except when using the loader. Not sure how much the PS will be lose when used simultaneously with the loader, but will find out by the end of the week. The power beyond kit for this Dinoil valve is $15, I will need a new hydraulic hose for the new dump which I think I can pick up at Bomgaars for $16 if my memory is correct, and all other parts should be compatible with the set up. Any thoughts? Otherwise I will hopefully be able to give everyone final results by the end of the week.

I'll be looking forward to your experiment results.

Ok so I have several questions for the Hydraulic Specialist in this forum. I have a Yanmar 2210d that has a Koyer 120 loader that has a Dinoil valve on it. Initially the loader was plumbed from the gear driven hydraulic pump on the engine. The loader valve outflow powered the 3point, and the 3 point dumped back into the sump. Everything worked good. I wanted to add a PS kit from Fredricks/Hoye. This is how it was suppose to be plumbed, hydraulic pump to a divider valve (FRC51), the divider (FCR51) has 2 outflow ports that can be regulated by an external knob. One outflow supplies the PS, the other outflow supplies the loader valve. The loaders outflow still goes to 3point. The loader function and PS function are mediocre set up this way in my opinion, no offense Aaron. I was hoping for more function of both, but I also realize I haze a small tractor with small hydraulic pump. Anyways my thought was to plumb it the initial way it was, pump to loader, loader outflow to 3point, use the Power beyond to supply FCR51 valve which powers the PS, the other port on the FCR51 goes to sump. This way I now have individual 100% PS function and 100% loader function as long as I am not using the loader and PS at the same time. The loader takes priority over the PS. So when using the Loader I loose PS function, I am fine with that. The question is, my 3point no longer works unless I use my loader at the same time. So is the power beyond taking the flow from my loader valve outflow and not letting my 3point get any fluids while operating?? And by activating my loader I know stops flow from the power beyond, but does that allow the loader valve to direct fluid to the outflow of the loader valve to my 3point now?? Is there any way to get my 3point to work with the power beyond set up this way and not having to use the loader to get the 3point to work? Also could I be causing any back pressure by having it set up this way? Or causing any damage to anyting? Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks ahead of time! I tried to upload a diagram but wasn't sure how to get it to load, sorry. Also I did post this on the Hydraulics side too.

sscan0001.jpgNo hydraulic specialist and I know this is not the way this is all designed to be used but here is my sketch of what I think you are trying to do.

Winston that is close to,what I am trying to do. I didn't do it that way because I was trying to avoid using the second outlet of the FRC51 as a power supply outlet. When using the second outlet of the FCR51 as a power source I loose a lot of flow to the other FCR51 outlet, so I have it set up like your sketch except the power beyond feeds the FCR51, the 1st outlet of the FCR51 feeds the PS the 2nd outlet goes to sump, this way the PS gets full flow. The 3point was and still is fed by the outflow from loader valve. Which for some reason doesn't work now after PB port being used unless I use my loader. So I guess the PB is taking all the outflow from the actual outflow of the loader valve, until I use the loader and the outflow is then diverted back to the original outflow line?? Wish I could figure a way to get the 3point back and have the PS & loader 100% even if I can't use them at the same time. Just as long as the work well separately.
