Kubota B7800
I have been looking into plumbing my Diverter valve on my Kubota tractor but I have limited experience with hydraulics and power beyond. I have a WR Long diverter kit with very vague directions. I triped over a couple of instruction videos that were very helpful to me and I though I would share them.

How much does that ATI grapple weigh and how wide is it?

I roll the tractor into the shop to mount my ATI Grapple om the loader bucket. I used a chain fall to suspend the grapple to make it easier to position it

Once I figures out were I wanted it located I clamped it into position and started drilling out the holes. This grapple is designed to be removable.

I drilled out 2 holes on each side and then bolted the grapple and the backing plate in place before drilling out the final 4. I wanted to be sure all the holes line up perfectly

I will tack this plate into the bucket so it will always be in place

After the grapple was bolted into place I extended the cylinder out and rotated the pipe the grapple is hinged on to get maximum movement out of the thumb

I ground the area to be welded clean and welded everything into place

Nice install and I liked the link to the Utube Videos Thanks. How much will you be able to lift after the grapple is added?

Very nicely done - both the install and the instructions.
I would have found them very helpful when I did mine.
If you are going to pickup logs you will find that if you weld on
some 1/2" rebar knubs like in the picture it will make handling big
logs alot easier

I notice in your pic that the pivot point for the grapple is quite a bit aft of the actual upper bucket lip, which by the way I recognize as an HD bucket. Has this affected the performance for you at all? Is that perhaps why you had to weld on the rebar nubs? Just curious...

I asked the same question from a different perspective, did some research and here is what I came up with: 5' Kubota bucket #180, tooth bar #50, ATI Grapple #140, for a total of: #370 LA402 loader lift is #882 (bucket center) which leaves #512 usable. Grapples are used a lot for light material so should be OK.

I dont think so. If I rolled the grapple frame forward the arms would be inside
the bucket at full close and the opening would be less at full open. I set it so the grapple arm tips and the cutting edge would just come together at full
close. I figured this would be best. But I dont really know. Do you think it would be better rolled forward ?

If I pick up a 24" diameter log the arms can't close around it, they pinch it against the bucket. The grip is shaped like an open "U". The knubs bite
into the log so it cant roll or slide out.
