I'm not sure if I understand your question 100% but I'll make a stab.
I use my lift arm height adjustment pretty much the same as I always did. The hydraulic top link allows me to easily roll the rear of impliment up and down. Here is a few things I have learned since I got my TnT.
If it is a blade you can alter the angle of attack for better cutting depending on the surface hardness or roll down to reach into a ditch or roll up to work the top of a pile.
If you have a box blade the top link is very useful for setting and changing the aggressiveness of the cut/smooth operation as you go along. They are very sensitive to top link length. It also allows you to work forward and backwards over the same area because you can so easily change the top link length to adjust for the direction of travel. This can make work much easier and faster especially when working a small area.
If you have a carry all you can use the top link to dump it or to curl it up to hold material but it only picks or lowers the back end. The lift arms need to be raised to get it totally off the ground.
If you are building a 3ph you could use one or two hydraulic side links to raise and lower your lift arms. And the hydraulic top link would be an enhancement as noted above.
Did that help any ?
