Not wanting to disagree with MtnViewRanch, but most tactors do not apply any down force on the link arms - with the arms lowered try lifting one by hand, and there will normally be no resistance to stop both link arms from lifting.

The hydraulic linkage controling the link arms is designed to provide lift force only. This means that installing the tilt kit in place of the lift rod, will not actually enable a down ward force greater than the weight of the impliment...

That's how I envisioned a hydraulic tilt working. Though I definitely see benefits of being able to apply downward force at times, from a manufacturers liability perspective it seems reasonable to think this feature may potentially lead to equipment damage unless the arms and implement were designed and built for that function.

Hi Gordon, Great looking setup you've installed!
I was curious though, looking at the toplink pictured in post #3, I'm wondering what size it is? I've got a 2 x 12 on the back of mine and it works swell for me. I have had several TBN'rs question as to why I had a 12" on it though but that's the same size as the original on my tractor was.
Did you say that you got all the parts n pieces from Quick Rite? Did that include the rams too?
I'm considering replacing my toplink as it's gotten bent & chewed up considerably by my boxblade & operator error. I wondered about the cost for a 2 x 12 ram?
Thanks for the photos, great looking setup. Greg

My top link is a 2" cylinder with a 10" stroke, 19" to 29". Fit Rite Hydraulics as several standard sizes to pick from or he will make a special. I was considering the 12" (21" to 33") but decided the 10" was a better fit for me. And yes, Fit Rite Hydraulics supplied everything.
As far as the tilt cylinder provideing down pressure goes - it works just like your fixed side link except it is adjustable. If however, your lift arms are all the way up against the upper stops and your impliment is still on the ground or blocked up the tilt cylinder will lift the rear of the tractor. I have over 7500 lbs of force there. Might not necessarily be a good thing to do though depending on the robustness of your 3ph.

You guys are right, there usually is not down pressure and the only down pressure in a normal situation is the weight of the implement, thus we are always saying to get heavy implements for grading purposes. In my response I was responding to the strength that the hydraulic used for the side link has and it will lift the tractor without problem.

I apologize for my poor response. :ashamed:

Greg, I still think that you would be better off with a shorter top link, either 19"-29" or maybe even 17"-25", but I can do a 12" stroke 21"-33" working range for you and I will personally deliver it to you with no delivery charge of any kind.

Bob, I would be happy to help you out. I build the Fit Rite units to each tractor's specific requirements. I will need you to get some measurements to be able to do this the most economical way. But for right now, I can tell you that you are looking at $510 + shipping.

That price gets you
1- 2" dia hydraulic top link to your requirements
1- 2" dia hydraulic side link to your requirements
2- hydraulic hose kits with 1/2" male AG quick disconnect fittings.

Let me know if you are interested.

Sorry for the delayed reply, got a newborn and no time. I would be definitely be interested in a TNT setup. Done my share of manual adjustments while scraping the driveway. What kind of measurments and specs do you need?

To start with you will need 2 rear remotes of some kind. If you don't have those already, maybe check with your dealer about getting those set up.

To get the top link working lengths, measure the OEM link collapsed and extended. Maybe check where it needs to be adjusted with all of your implements.

For the side link, go to the other tractor list on my website. Pick what type of side link that you have and get all the different measurements that are needed to be able to make the correct side link for your tractor.
Email those to me through the website and I should be able to get one made with that info. A picture or two of the hitch is nice to have also.
