Install instructions for Kubota BH90

Hello Everyone,

I have a 2005 L3430 (no cab, ROPS, LA753 loader) and just purchased a BH90 with subframe and the power beyond hoses. The kit is complete so I spent a good 4 hours today matching up bolt patterns, trying to put the puzzle together. I have the parts diagrams but they lack actual step by step installation. I know the loader subframe gets replaced with the hoe's frame and the power beyond rigid pipe gets replaced with the PB flex hose assembly.
Some of the bolt holes just aren't lining up (the three in the rear specifically) and I've run out of ideas. Is there someone with actual instructions or even close up pictures of how the three mounting points go together? Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Okay, I have answered all my own questions and wanted to post here in order to help someone out in the future.

What I figured out:

Subframes also utilize attachment kits specific to a model of tractor. The attachment kit that came with my BH was for a different tractor which is why it didn't fit mine. I found this information on a parts diagram at German - Bliss. That also explained why the PB hydraulic hoses didn't fit.

There are no step by step instructions, only parts diagrams. I also purchased a workshop manual but that was pretty much useless for installation instructions.

I visited several dealers in my area. They only want to sell you parts you know you need or a new tractor.

Once I installed the subframe with the correct attachment kit, it was to wide to sit down in where the top pins go. I had to shim both sides by 3/4 of an inch. See pic below

After all this, I have very nice working BH on my L3430.

Congratulations on installing the BH90 on your L3430 - great looking outcome!

You've done two good things here - first, tackling the parts puzzle with little help, and second, posting the story to help others. As you found, adapting a subframe backhoe is a fair amount of doing. Great job and pictures! Take care, Dick B.
