I was just wondering if the injector pump on a BX has oil in it to be checked or changed. I don't remember seeing anything about that in the book.

There is nothing in the book about that type of maintenance on the pump.

Bike for short... there is no maintenance you can perform on your injection pump. I wouldn't touch it if you are a homeowner anyway for two years during the warranty period. If your injection seems weak, only notice by a loss of power under load, I would check the filters and fuel deliver from your lift pump first. After warranty, take it to a fuel shop where it can be rebuilt, calibrated and bench tested professionally. Good post! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Thanks for info. So I guess any oil or grease is sealed inside never to be to be messed with. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I could be wrong here, but I believe the injector pump is lubricated by the fuel itself.

You are not wrong. The best thing for the injection pump is good clean fuel. It'll outlast your motor.

Let me check that oil comment, some pumps do have motor oil lubrication. It comes in the side and flows through the front drive bearing (usually). But the business end is diesel, and that's where the cleaner the fuel the better.
