Oil & Fuel Injector pump problem, Deutz/Allis 5215

I was running low on fuel, added about 1/2 gallon that turned out to be gas (my son had put gas in a diesel can). It ran OK. put it in the shed. Went out the next day and drained the tank and filled with diesel. Primed the pump and filter and tried to prime the injectors, but the pump isn't pumping anything. Any ideas?????

The diesel is the lube for the pump so my guess is you trashed the pump. Don't throw it away or rebuild it just yet, I am not the great expert but there are some on here that will know much more. Ed

It actually had about 1/2 and 1/2 diesel and gas. Didn't try to run away.

Disconnected the lines off the injector pump and injectors, blew them out with compressed air, also from the fuel filter through the bleed bolt on the pump, put everything back together, bled all the lines, left the injector lines loose cranked it for about 60 seconds three different times, tightened the injector lines, and low and behold, it started and runs fine! I think the problem was a air leak at the pump. I guess the gas dissolved the crud around a fitting and allowed it to leak ??????:cool2:
