i am still working on getting my john deere 24a loader running that was sitting for 25 years. i pulled the lines off that go from the injector pump to the injectors and when i turn the motor over its almost like the pump is low on pressure almost like i can put my fingers over the outlet and keep the fuel from coming out. i am waiting on a new filter but could the filter really be that clogged to restrict the flow that much?

Could be.

Filter change first. Then, see what it does.

i hope so i should have the filter tomorrow. is there anything i can run through the pump to lubricate it?

I'd be sure all the lines and the fuel tank are free of obstruction/debris/gel/old fuel first, before a new filter.
Blow back into the tank and look for clogging (but you may have done that already too).

Yea. the fuel in the tank is all junked up. Ive taken the injector inlet and return lines off and blown them out. and im running fresh fuel from fuel jug.

After bleeding all the air out and cranking it a few times it will smoke white smoke at first from exhaust. and when i take the return line of the top of the injectors it is dry like no fuel has been up there. is that normal?

the only thing i have not done it take the injectors out. having a hard time getting them out.

and taking the steel supply line off that runs directly to the injector pump.

changed the filter. i can get all the air out of the lines except for cylinder 1. when i crack the line on the injector it just keeps bubbling no matter how long i keep it turning over.

so i dont know im getting tired of messing with it.

Then either you have air still entrapped or air is being reintroduced to the low side while your cranking.

Don't give up.

Cylinder 2 glow plug is bad. I can't find any anywhere.

So that prettymuch leaves 2 cylinders to start it. I guess that's wouldn't work

Yes. I was on that site and I even called my local dealer. I must have given him the wrong part number.

I guess 30 isn't too bad but I want to know this thing will start.

It might have too much blowby.

I been following your tread from the beginning. Hate to see you quit now. Hope you get it started.

This will really help you decide which way to go.

If it passes, I'd plow on. If it doesn't pass and given the amount of time it sat unused, you could have stuck or worse, broken rings.

Good point.. I was thinking the rings were stuck at first. So I did research and people. Were putuing marvel mystery oil in the cylinders. Didn't work for me.

i hooked them all up externally to the injector pump after i cleaned them up. and all of them seemed to have a good spray except cylinder 2. it dripped at first and had a bit of a squirt. i dont know if i cleaned them correctly but i used wd-40 and wiped all the crap away. I couldnt get a hold of a compression tester. so until i do thats where im at.

After sitting that long things will be gummed up. You might have a stuck delivery valve in the IP plus injectors can stick too. Don't use WD40 internally as it will gum up stuff worse. Carefully taken apart and soaked in new clean fuel will help. Run a good strong dose of fuel conditioner / injector cleaner through once you can get things running.
