Do I need it?

It's unlikely that I will want to run the MMM and BH at the same time. However, I'd like to be able to switch between the FEL/BH and MMM without having to install the arms on the 3PH.

Does anyone know if the arms on the 3PH are required for the mechanical lift?

Yes, One arm is required (The left one). In fact if you use the collection system you take off the right one and just use the left one.

It's just a little bracket that latches over the top of the base of the left 3pt arm. If you had a 3pt arm you could sacrifice you could cut it off to maybe 4-6" from the pivot point and that's all the mechanical lift needs. I'm sure that wouldn't interfere with BH but the lift arms for it might.

You could probably also custom fabricate something. I've thought of putting a simple mechanical lever (like most Garden tractors) so I can mechanically lift the deck from a lever and not require the 3pt hitch or the hydraulic lift.
