IH 656 Horsepower Increase

I was talking to a friend recently who had recently rebuilt the motor on his 656 and in the process bumped the hp up to about 90 (He figured) by simply adjusting a screw or something on the injector pump. Does this seem reasonable? Is there such a procedure? Our 656 is due for a rebuild and I was wondering about this.

yeah that is possible on those old farmalls. When we where farming we had a 656, 856, and 1456 and we had the injection pumps cranked on all of them.
