IH 585 brakes

the foot brakes keep jamming on usually after about 5mins they jam if left for 5mins come off then jam again just gone out to use it brakes are on from the start any ideas

Hmm, not sure, the main brakes are hydraulically actuated, they get topped up automatically from the oil sump for the transmission. Are all other hydraulic functions ok?
The parking brake is a mechanical brake, not sure if it is a band type or what, is worn out on all IH's I've ever used from being forgotten on.

I've not seen this problem but it has to start at the control. The brakes themselves could not do this. Check at your actuator first.

Was there a solution to this problem found. I have a 595 with almost the same problem,

Check the drain on the reservoir on top of the master cylinders. If the drain line is kinked or plugged the brakes will engage.
