Good Point P.L. but I think the difference as you know is Professional v.s. hobbyist.

Nice job!..... Oh, I do wax my tractor once a year. :D

I have been thinking about having my mower decks & under my bush-hog sprayed.

I found out some info. today about spraying mower decks.

A guy that does this told me that it might not be good to spray them... Because a rock could make a chip, and then water (might) start getting behind the coating.

He uses a different brand, and told me that if I do this then use the "herculiner" brand, because it won't chip.

I'd be looking for something 'Super-Slick" that you could spray apply to a mower deck , but really a snowblower, housing and chute! Gary's "It", just doesn't cut it! Just gotta think, if there was a product that would hold up, they'd already be using it. ~Scotty

Great job, and idea, on the fenders BTW! ~S

Lawn companies have had good results with spraying Fluid Film on the underneath of mower decks. I believe it's helped in lessening the amount of grass that sticks. For me as a homeowner though, it's not really that necessary as I just scrap the decks after every use, which might be every 10 days - 2 weeks.

WH401-I hope you meant to say 'scrape' instead of 'scrap'!! Otherwise let me know where your scrap dealer is located, so I can pick up your rejects! :D ~S

I wax my machines at least 3x a year with a dewalt buffer and a commercial cleaner wax called PRO GOLD, it takes 6 minutes to do a tractor.
Well it keeps them looking like new even though they are 20 years old.:D

I just did the rear rocker panels on my wife's '02 suburban since rust is beginning to develop. I used Herculiner and it looks great. I'm thinking of doing the area under my floor mat on my tractor since it's been scratched up some and I know water stays trapped between the mat and the deck. I don't want those panels to rust out on me!.

I've thought about doing the wheel wells of the tractor and the suburban too since we have lots of gravel roads around here and they get beat up pretty good.

I'm planning to get a new (used) dually in the next couple of months and will probably do the rocker panels all around as well as the wheel wells on that too.

Ah, that would be "scrape" then :D. Replacing a $2500 mower for cutting every 10 days would get costly real fast:eek:.
