You're trying to change the topic from you saying if the world rotated the way we say it does he'd land to the east, when, in fact, he'd land to the west. Stay on topic instead of deflecting.

I can't believe that since Thaddy hijacked this thread 730 posts ago that so many of us are still attempting to change his beliefs since it is obvious enough that he will pay no attention at all to facts and figures and proof after proofs by just saying "that is not true". I don't know whether he is just yanking our legs or has some time of mental condition that makes him believe his contrived realities, but the fact is that if we keep this up we are just slamming our heads against a brick wall.


And then we will never determine what aliens really look like.

Before we put people in rockets, we put them in high altitude balloons. Some of those "classified" projects failed. And people were killed. At high altitude and the body boils off all the water in the system. It makes the bodies look very emaciated. A bit like what the extraterrestrial advocate people now call Gray's. 70 years later we are still dealing with it, make Sci-fi with it, write whole books about it, ....

But I do know if the earth were a sphere at almost 8000 miles in diameter the pythagorean theorem would prove the you shouldn't see boats or buildings beyond 50 miles. This isn't the case.

I haven't tried to do the math to calculate the exact distance, but it would vary, based on the height of the buildings on shore, among other things. I do know from personal experience that the shore disappears in less than 100 miles. I'm guessing you guys have a comeback lined up to explain that?

I was just thinking about that. If the Earth was flat, you should sometimes be able use a telescope to see Denver from there, or at least the Rocky Mountains.
