Ideas for installing an electric dog fence?

Personally i just buried about 3000' of 18guage underground wire for my dogs. This time i decided to use the tractor and a home made attachment (v2) and WHAT a relief! buried all cable in under an hour total!!

I used a subsoiler from northern tool which cost me about a hundred. I found a small bent tube and welded it to the back. But you could just as easily bolt something to the blade/ripper of the sub soiler. I almost did this to be able to change the size. I'll be using this same method to bury irrigation line next spring.

For the cable to spool i just used a piece of rebar through a few holes in my ROPS to mount the spool to.

You simply tie off the end you are starting on (with some extra) and then lower the ripper and go forward. It unrolls the reel as its burying and there is very little stress on the line.

I'll try to snap a pic tonight of the setup.

Note: I've tried the edger setup, a ripper on my 3 point.. an attachment for the wheeler that mounted into the hitch (v1 of cable burier) .. this is bar far the BEST method todo this!

This is exactly what I was looking for. I want to lay wire for around an acre so I'd like to use the least amount of manual labor as possible. If you can please do post a pic.
