I was wondering if anyone can tell me what the icon next to the subject name indicates?

When l view a forum I see that some of the topics have a small icon next to the subject name and some don't. At first I thought it had to do with there being an attached image associated with the topic but upon closer examination I find that some of the topics that do not have the icon - have pictures attached too.

I have searched the forums and the FAQ for an explanation to no avail. I'm just curious.

If you mean the
file.gif
icon that is posted with the thread's title on the forum group, it means there is an attachment with the first post on the thread. That attachment may be a photo, or may be a scanned item (*.jpg or *.bpm file.)

Within a thread later postings may have an attachment, but the icon only shows on threads that have attachments with the first post.

Thanks Chris.

I should have caught that... I guess I didn't pay close enough attention.

It seems that it might be helpful if the icon showed up if there were pictures posted with later attachments as well. For example the initial post might ask how to do something and the followup post might have a picture to show how to do it. For those of us who like to see pictures it would tell us at a glance that this explanation would include pictures.

Just a thought. Thanks again Chris.
