Ice makers-anyone know them?

Just a thought. How often do you experience power outages. Does the unit have an auto restart after a power outage.

I’ve been poking around at ice makers too and ended up looking at a KitchenAid model. I skimmed through the KitchenAid KUIX535HPS manual just to get a feel for how it installs and what kind of upkeep it needs, and it was actually pretty helpful. Seems like a solid unit on paper, at least. If anyone here has real-world experience with one, I’d love to hear how it’s been.
