Re: I think I\'ve decided...

Have you ever priced the 2310? Price I've been quoted here is $10,500 for the tractor only. I figure $3,000 for the FEL, $500 for a 5' rotary cutter, total of around $14k. Does this sound right? Or should there be some more negotiating? I think I'd prefer Kioti, but to get a live PTO this may be a better option.

Re: I think I\'ve decided...

The CK20 is HST. Probably will have independent PTO.
Do not know for sure, just an assmuption, but you know how those go.

Re: I think I\'ve decided...

The kioti CK20 Literature shows two different models, the Manual(CK20) and the Hydrostatic(CK20H). The manual transmission(CK20) lists 'Synchro/Constant' and the PTO as 'Transmission'. The Hydrostat (CK20H) lists the PTO as 'Live.'

Re: I think I\'ve decided...

So does the manual tranny CK20 have a 2 stage clutch or the old transmission type that stops the PTO when you clutch to stop the motion of the tractor. If it is the old style of transmission PTO, that is not a good selling point for the CK20.

Re: I think I\'ve decided...

So I guess the manual tranny CK20 has the old transmission type of PTO that dies every time you clutch it. Hope they put a overrunning clutch in it. I always hated it when the old Ford tractor's spinning down bush hog would push me thru a fence after pushing in the clutch to stop.

Re: I think I\'ve decided...

The DK models have a single stage clutch. But they have Independant PTO which is turned on and off with a switch.
The CK models may have the same set up !!

Re: I think I\'ve decided...

All new tractors have overunning clutches built into the pto. The CK gear is going to be the standard trans driven PTO not live or independent. The hst will be live. As far as I know ALL hst tractors have a live pto, a nice little bonus for the pro-hydro guys.

Re: I think I\'ve decided...

One thing I did like was the ability to turn on the rear PTO, the mid PTO, or both. Just thinking out loud here, that means I could run a mid mount mower deck, the when I need to trim under my trees with low branches or under the fence, I could drop a 5' hydraulic assist sickle mower bar.
