i have a yanmar 2000, the injector pump was only pumping on one side. I wasnt sure about what i was doing, so i took the 2 nuts, and the two bolts out of the pump and attempted to take out the pump. Well i found out it does not come out that easy, so i put it back together, and started it up, when i did it tried to run away with itself. Could i have done somthing with the govenor???

I think your OK.

You probably missed the pin on the slider that fits into a small "Y" shaped link (under the injection pump). I find it easier to remove the inspection cover off the side of the hydraulic pump and, with a flashlight, reset the pump into the Y link. I'm sure you are either on one side or the other and not exactly in the center.

To remove the pump remove the cover on the from the fuel pump box ( 6 screws ) then reach in and remove the snap pin & spacer from the rack, be sure not to drop the spacer. Next remove the bolts & nuts from the pump, pull out a little bit and turn so the notch in the block will let you remove the pump. Why do you think the pump is not working?

thanks for the info, i got fixed. I had only one side of the pump working. but i have bigger problems now. the pto is staying engaged, the liget makes a noise and the rear end acts like it trying to lock up.

More info, (or better explanation) needed. Are you saying nothing happens when you move the pto shift lever? What is a "liget"? Are you saying the diff lock is engaging by itself or it is trying to seize up?
