It broke again...

I have only driven the Tractor once since I had it welded.

Now when I actually used it, it broke.

The same steering arm broke in the same place.
The weld just didn't hold.
It looks like the weld penetrated 1/4 into the metal but it still didn't hold.

I need to find a "previously owned" part since the part is out of production.
There are no real tractor graveyards around here.
I'm looking for some elsewhere that can ship me the part.

Looking for suggestions.

They specialize in used JD parts and your tractor is listed. I had the same thing happen to my 750 about 10 years ago. The part cost $120 then. Parts were available then but now my tractor is not even listed at this place. Really gives pause to think in terms of purchasing some updated iron . I guess these things are not going the route of say the Ford 8N where to this day you can by brand new parts for. No 40 or 50 year longevity for our stuff.
