I just bought an Echo 2511t clone for $99. What was I thinking?

I guess whoever assembled the first one didn't get the slots in the brake cover lined up right and just screwed it together because they were in a hurry or maybe it was a new employee? IDK.

You can tell on the husky clones when they get one backwards. The brake handle will be real close to top handle.

What their assembly line looks like or did before the new bigger place was built.

Just takes that 1 wrong guy or girl putting something together. Just like anywhere.

I mean you got guy here bought a new stihl for 400-500 and had to return it for another. It was just a plastic top handle clamshell saw too for that much.

After my last week's confusion on number of chain drive links with bar stamped 45 and chain wrapper stating 44, I tried an Oregon T44 Versa series chain I had for my Echo 2620 polesaw and easily fit with plenty of adjustment left. Not sure if 45 DL would run out of adjustment before chain life gone. Found Stihl PS63 44 on Ebay and ordered one. This is a full chisel "yellow "chain in my preferred brand, box stamped made in Switzerland with Oregon being a close second choice. Put Stihl on today and fit fine. Didn't make any cuts but fits just like the Oregon. Will say Stihl a little more difficult to get between clutch drum and plastic housing but was able to jiggle in gap. Cutters may be just a hair taller. Know Amazon and Ebay full of china made chains for less than $10 but the Stihl and Oregon chains just seem to last longer and stay sharper longer

Reading through the threads, it looks like these are the 2511t clone owners

This afternoon I sold the last three stock 2511s I had. A big thank you to everyone who supported us. As soon as my next order of JonCutters gets here I’ll post it up here first right after I fill the pre orders. These will be at $99 with the full prep treatment.

In the meantime I do have 3 fully ported & piped V-Modest 2511 ready to go for $460 😬

So over the last few weeks I’ve had the chance to go over quite a few of these JonCutter 2511 saws. While by and large they are pretty darn good right out of the box, there were a few little bugs common to almost every one. The biggest problem is flashing in the air filter. This is a problem on the V-Modest saws too. I’ve got a picture here of one of the worst offenders that happens to be one of the white filters. Those were the first run with the new molds but the current blue filters have the same problem, just not quite as bad. Also as mentioned by some of you, check for any small gaps where the screen mesh meets the plastic frame. A little fuel proof sealer works well to close it up. The gaskets and flashing on the fuel caps was a problem on about half of the JonCutters and mostly on the early shipment. I’m guessing the factory was in full rush mode. Flash on all the plastics is kind of annoying too. I try to get the whole saw cleaned up just so they look better. It just bugs me. And finally, inside the oil tank hole there is a small chunk of the die runner that they left in the threads for the cap. Most aren’t really a problem but some were big enough to make the cap thread on hard. Other than that, change the plug if you want and start cutting!

Can you talk about parts availability for the Joncutter 2511?
Have they been pretty reliable?
