I just bought an Echo 2511t clone for $99. What was I thinking?

$15.99 for an air filter v $99 for the whole saw.

The saw was cheap... Everything else will seem expensive in comparison. It is silly.

My bar/chain conversion was $55

Maybe there's a reluctance to mess up a $500 Echo with modifications or maybe there's no budget for mods left after spending $500, but I appreciate the temptation to experiment with a $99 saw.

$55 for bar/chain, ? for OEM air filter mount, ? for Egan...aren't you past $99 in mods?

Yup, still a lot less than an Echo. A lot less.

I timed both with Egan pipe oem and clone.

Farmertec clone isnt broken in and oem is broken in. Fastest cuts in 9" round around 2 seconds difference. Not bad for saving 400 clams.

The small apple wood for smoker I couldn't tell any difference zip zip both of them.

I ended up putting the PSS V2 on my clone. Egan back on the OEM rear handle.
