I still have my Gravely Pro 12.
Bought it new in 1988?
I don't use it any more (use diesel tractor tiller now), but one of my sons suggested that I keep it.

CONGRATS on being given a Pro-12!! I have 3 Gravely's right now, but 2 of them are up for sale. I'm keeping the smallest one - a 10 hp with a bush hog up front. That thing is a work horse!!

Looks like I have a line one 40 in "kidney" deck for my gravely professional 12 so I can use it for mowing. Right now all I have is a plow

I've got a 40" kidney deck and a 50" A-Frame deck. If you can find the 50", go for that (assuming it's not too big to go through any gates you have). The 50" A-Frame is quick to adjust the height and it leaves a better cut.

I mowed with the 40" for years and it does OK, but the 50" just does so much better.

If you're not already on any of the face-book (ugh!) groups for Gravelys, join them. All sorts of stuff being bought and sold on there.

Attaching a pic of my 12hp with the 50" deck for reference....

With my yard size and obstacles I think the 40 in deck would work better for my needs. The man I am talking to has a 50 coming too and I thought about which one would fit my needs best. I would also have to take a 50 in deck off the mower to get it in my trailer. I
sometimes take mowers to the church too. Right now money is tight or I would get a bushhog deck he has too

I use a Gravely with a 30" mower to control my wife's blackberry "grove",,

I use the same tractor with a 40" "kidney" to do weedeating around the garden and yard,,

I have a couple more Gravely's also,, a 10HP and an 8HP,, the 8HP is great in the garden with the cultivator or plow,,
the lighter 8HP Kohler engine balances much better than the larger 10 and 12HP engined tractors.

I understand about the 40" being better due to obstacles. At my old house the 40" deck barely fit through the back gate. There's no way the 50" would fit through it. Also, I was able to haul the Gravely with the 40" deck in the back of my '97 Ranger with the stepside (narrower) bed. Again, the 50" wouldn't have fit. I actually just bought a new-to-me zero turn and had to limit myself to a 54" deck so I wouldn't have to buy a new trailer to haul it. My trailer is a 5x8 and is 60.75" between the rails. A ZTR with a 60" deck wouldn't fit. I ended up with a 48" deck on the new mower.

I sent you a PM regarding the bush hog deck you mentioned.

CADplans - Always love seeing pics of that Gravely! You did a great job with the paint - and the muffler!!

I picked up a 40 inch kidney mower deck for my Gravely today got most of my yard before I run out of energy . I had not used a Gravely with steering brakes , I wasn't real impressed while moving the tractor around with the blade on it . Once I got out mowing I like it.

The steering brake is the cat's Axx!
I LOVE it, though my 12 HP Kohler Gravely is not being used now.
Was going to sell it, but one of my sons asked me to keep it.

Hi all of you Gravely fans. I do not have one but am looking to possibly purchase a Gravely 48" snowblower. I need something different on the front of my Kubota B7100. My existing blower doesn't have many snows left in it anymore. I'm not sure which tractor this came off of. I think I can retrofit but I need to know the PTO set up that this runs off of. Specifically what input RPM does Gravely use to power this 48" blower. A picture of the setup would be nice too . Appreciate any help any of you Gravely owners can provide. Thanks from snowy NW Wisconsin. AND Merry Christmas.
