Kubota L4240HSTC
Owner of a L4240 HSTC, the front wheel studs keep getting loose and fall out. These are turf tires. I check the lug nuts as required the lugs are fine, its the studs that are loose. I have used lock tight with some success. The Kubota mechanic said this is very common problem. Any suggestions would be helpful.

I had one come loose last year on a very new tractor. I replaced the studs (chewed up from the loose wheel). I loctited the studs into the axle/spindle and then make sure to check torques every 50 hrs, and keep an eye on them. I just used blue loctite. If you find that is not enough, you can go to red, but that is supposed to be a "torch out" adhesive, so beware... I wouldn't do that unless it got really bad, myself.

Be careful when using any thread sealer in that you don't want to use too much as it might hydraulic the stud and it wouldn't seat properly. Of course that is for a stud going into a closed hole...not sure what you have. Just a thought.
