John Deere X530
I just purchased a 47" snowblower for my X530. So I can't wait for snow :D If the winter here in CT is anything like last year I'll get planty of tractor time all winter  My son and I assembled and mounted it yesterday. Today I'll make the final adjustments before switching back to the mower deck to finish leaf cleanup. I'll try to get a picture before removing it today.

I have its fourty two inch little brother.
I alksoo have the 82 pounds of suitcase
weights for the rear and rear chains.

The dealer also said it would not work
on my 20 horse LA115.

He stopped trying to tell me it would
not work when I told him that I had a
12 horse original IHC hydro Cub Cadet
that had a single stage snow caster
that worked for years.

Do not forget to mount the chains!

I have the same snow blower for my x534 and I justed mounted it this weekend and am ready for the snow. Last year we got hit with 5 big snows (>12") and a few lesser ones. tow of them were better than 24" in 24 hours. The x534 and snowblower handled them all. I had a blast clearing my drive and that of my neighbors too. I remember what it was like having to shovel so I was glad to help them out.

Anyway you'll love it. As was said chains and a couple suitcase weights are required for top performance.

Sparc - it's good to hear that your 534 handled those big storms. The reason I got the snowblower is that I just got rid of my F250 with the plow. I wasn't going to start shoveling after all those years of sitting in my truck sipping my coffee while cleaning up after a big snowstorm. So after the storms we had here in CT last year I was a little worried about how the 530 would handle a big storm. But now you have put my mind a little more at ease. Of course I realize that it is not going to compare with sitting in the warm cab of my truck. Did you go out only once after the big storms or did you go out more than once during the storm?

I hear you there too! Kinda glad we waited, as the ergos of the 1600 series are a little better than the 1500. :) And love the AC too. :)

I live almost directly across for Athol in Washington. No heated Cab, just purchased a 54 inch blade for my X744. I will suit up insulated coveralls. I should have live differently. lol

After weathering the wind and cold for near 40 years on open station tractor, I added a snowmobile helmet and really made a world of difference.
Might look strange, but no more frozen face and frosted-shut squinty eyes.

Yep, just purchased a 54 inch blade and all the necessary items. I suspect now it will be like two years ago when we had very little snow. It always seems to happen that way.
