CT_Kubota - I don't see a problem with telling you that I got my SUDT from Midstate Tractor in Middletown. Great folks to deal with - they just took my credit card info over the phone and left it out for me so I could pick it up after hours.

super udt first came about in the l series with gst transmissions. In cold conditiions, below 30 degrees, the gst would not shift due to the small orifices . If you let the unit warm up, it worked allright, but when cold would not. later, on the m series, it became mandatory due to independent pto clutches and wet brakes. If not used in a M series tractor, the brake and pto clutch linings will come apart. $1200. repair. So, if you have wet brakes and independent pto, use super udt, I sell in bulk at $9.94 gallon. Its not worth the difference on your tractor to try to use the "cheap" stuff. As far as I know it is only available at Kubots dealers, although it is made by TROCO oil co. in O.K. hope this helps

I got SUDT from TractorSmart. Don't remember the price, but it got here really fast. Those guys are great.

Bingo RONJHALL. It was just what you said. Forgot to install that gear. I think I did use udt not sudt. Expensive lesson huh?

Did they install SUDT this time around?
It was not hard to find in the WSM. It is a line item with a single picture showing the gear and snap ring.

P.S. I don't think Tractorsmart sells SUDT (or any lubricants) anymore - too much of a shipping problem, if memory serves me right (which is questionable).

I could be all wrong but I believe the the fluid sold in Canada now is for colder climates and called Kubota pudt not a synthetic but for cold weather as I just bought some from a dealer in New Brunswick.I asked for syn. but they don't carry it.They are a fairly large kubota dealer and this is what they use.
